エリザベス２世（HM Queen Elizabeth II）- その７（英国史上最長在位の記念切手）

２０２２年９月８日にスコットランドのアバディーン州（Aberdeenshire）にあるバルモラル城（Balmoral Castle）で崩御された英国のウィンザー朝第４代女王であるエリザベス２世（HM Queen Elizabeth II：１９２６年４月２１日–２０２２年９月８日 / 在位期間：１９５２年２月６日–２０２２年９月８日）は、２０１５年９月９日に、在位期間が６３年２１６日となり、ハノーヴァー朝第６代女王で、高祖母であるヴィクトリア女王（Queen Victoria：１８１９年５月２４日–１９０１年１月２２日 / 在位期間：１８３７年６月２０日–１９０１年１月２２日 → ２０１７年１２月１０日 / １２月１７日付ブログで紹介済）を抜いて、英国史上最長在位の君主となった。

２０１５年９月９日に、英国のロイヤルメール（Royal Mail）から記念切手５種類が発行されているので、今回紹介したい。 

William Wyon's City Medal depicts the head of Queen Victoria,
the UK's previous longest-reigning monarch.

The photograph of Queen Elizabeth II by Dorothy Wilding appeared on
British definitive stamps from 1952 to 1967. 

Arnold Machin's iconic profile of HM Queen Elizabeth II
was itroduced in 1967.

The Badge of the House of Windsor,
featuring the Round Tower of Windsor Castle,
has been in use since 1938.

The device is from The Queen's Personal Flag, created in 1960
for use in Commonwealth countries.
