恐竜の時代（The Age of the Dinosaurs）記念切手 - その１

２０２４年３月１２日に、英国のロイヤルメール（Royal Mail）から、恐竜の時代（The Age of the Dinosaurs）に関する１２種類の記念切手が発行されたので、３回に分けて御紹介したい。

Tyrannosaurus（ティラノサウルス / 暴君竜 - 肉食恐竜） lived
during the Late Cretaceous period（白亜紀後期）
between 68 and 66 million years ago.
The first known specimen was discovered n 1900  in Wyoming, USA.

Triceratops（トリケラトプス / 三角竜） lived around 68 million years ago
during the Late Cretaceous period.

Coloborhynchus（コロボリンクス - 翼竜） was one of the earliest pterosaurs to be discovered.

Iguanodon（イグアノドン - 草食恐竜） lived during the Early Cretaceous period（白亜紀前期）
between 125 and 110 million years ago.
